The MetaVET Train the Trainers and Scale-Up Delivery event brought together VET teachers for hands-on training in collaborative robotics, Virtual Reality (VR), and innovative digital teaching methods, supporting the integration of new technologies into vocational education and training (VET).
During the training, participants explored cobot safety, setup and basic programming, educational robotics exercises, VR and immersive learning environments, and approaches for integrating these technologies into curricula. Particular attention was given to lesson planning, learning outcomes, classroom implementation, learner safety, and the development of practical activities for students.
Participants were also introduced to the Smart Step platform, which provides access to MetaVET online learning modules covering Entrepreneurship, Metaverse, and Collaborative Robotics (Cobots). The platform complements the hands-on training by providing digital learning resources that teachers can use to further develop their knowledge and support the integration of MetaVET topics into their teaching.
